Restaurant manager / Head waiter

The position of restaurant manager / head waiter is highly diverse: You’re responsible for managing employees and their duties, overseeing service, and handling wine storage.

Your duties:

• Shift planning and scheduling, including electronic rostering (ROTA)
• Menu and team briefing at the start of the employees’ shift
• Supervision and management of our wine inventory
• Active participation in wine tastings
• Active involvement in the design of our wine list
• Assistance in recruitment
• Proficient use of our Novacom POS and inventory management system
• Supervision and quality control of the hotel lobby, terraces, and hotel bar
• Translation of evening menus and creation of corresponding wine recommendations

What we’re looking for:

• A polished and professional demeanour, fitting a 5-star standard
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and a keen understanding of guest needs
• Strong leadership and motivational skills to manage an entire team
• In-depth F&B knowledge, with a particular focus on wine
• Previous experience in a similar role or establishment
• A qualification as an apprentice trainer is advantageous
